When you need to find a final resting place for your loved one you may find yourself having to answer a lot of questions in which you may or may not have all the answers. How do I choose a Cemetery? How much will this cost? What do I need for our service at the cemetery? Can I pre-pay burial fees?
Different Faiths have different practices and customs. Catholic families who decide to bury their loved ones will usually have services at a church and/or a funeral home chapel and then proceed to the cemetery for the graveside prayers. Mormon funerals will consist of going to the loved one’s church with a viewing, church service, graveside service at the cemetery, and a luncheon to follow at someone’s home or back at the church. Jewish burial services will usually consist of an all wooden casket, services with a Rabbi at a temple, followed by a graveside service. Sometimes services are wanted all in one day and within a certain time period. Most funeral homes will try to accommodate their families to the best of their ability.
