Carol May Kroll, age 85, went home to be with her Lord on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14, 2017.
Carol was born in Racine, WI, on August 13, 1931. She resided in Racine until relocating to Chandler, AZ, nearly 20 years ago.
She was united in marriage to Walter M. Kroll, on September 20, 1950. During their 67 years together, Carol and Walter embodied the meaning of commitment, the importance of family, friends, and caring for everyone who needed a hand. Together they raised their four children: Deborah Schumacher (Curtis), George (Jean), Tom (Laura) and Elisabeth (Lisa) Hazlett.
Carol was a loving and gracious lady with an inclusive spirit. Everyone whom she met benefitted from her genuine caring and warmth, always remembering her warm hugs, kind words, infectious smile and laughter. She was an exceptional teacher in classrooms and in life, a loyal friend, encourager to all, a fabulous pie maker, legendary holiday cookie baker, and loved her red geraniums and tulips. She made everything better with her presence – Heaven is now a brighter place.
Her loving legacy continues with her grandchildren: Sarah Dreger (Darrin), Erika Tominna (Mike), Laura Mitchell (Scot), Michael Kroll (Tanya), Jessica Kroll, Joshua Kroll, Daniel Hazlett, and Adam Hazlett, and Krista Dube (Keith).
Carol also had the pleasure of making happy memories with her great-grandchildren: Alexandria Parker-Kroll, Kate and Madelyn Kroll, Colin and Aiden Tominna, and Ava and Jack Mitchell.
She is further survived by her brother Stanley, sister Grace, and brother Allen Raasch. She will be missed by numerous friends and family members.
As a tribute to Carol’s memory, please to do something to make the world brighter for others. Plant a tree or flowers, help a neighbor, spend time with a friend, reconcile with a family member, smile at a stranger, tell someone you love them.
A memorial service will be held in Wisconsin at a future date.
